Small Grants - Efficiency application window now open!!!

The window to apply for the Welsh Government's Small Grants - Efficiency Scheme has reopened, and you can apply for the grant anytime from now until the window closes on the 27th February 2026.

How much money can I apply for?

The grant amount will range from £1,000 - £15,000 and provides a maximum of 40% contribution towards the cost of eligible machinery or equipment.

For example

If you purchased a trailing shoe, which met or exceeded the specification set out the list eligible items, at the referenced cost of £25,842 then you would be eligible for a grant amount of £10,337.

What machinery/equipment is included in the list of eligible items?

• Trailing Shoe

  • Minimum 6m working width

  • Ability to fit to an existing slurry tanker or attach to flexible pipe/umbilical system

  • (This item cannot be combined with the purchase of a slurry tanker)

• Dribble Bar

  • A minimum 6m working width

  • Ability to fit to an existing slurry tanker or attach to flexible pipe/umbilical system

  • (This item cannot be combined with the purchase of a slurry tanker)

How do I apply?

You can complete the expression of interest for the Small Grants - Efficiency scheme on the Rural Payments Wales (RPW) website.

If you are successful with your grant application then you must purchase and claim for the items within 180 days of the contract offer.
